Esdeath awakened her freezing power and killed Carlo, then turned to hunt more World Government fighters while the battle over Mary Geoise continued. Hawk Eyes Mihawk arrived, chose the Pirate Alliance, and joined the fight as Li Yuan and Im remained locked in battle above.

• Esdeath froze Carlo and the surrounding world for an instant, then cut off his head and killed him.
• Esdeath recognized that Li Yuan’s battle with Im was beyond her strength and set out to kill more World Government fighters.
• Faraday blasted Saint Warcury back and kept him from escaping, while the other Five Elders also failed to break free from their opponents.
• Hawk Eyes Mihawk arrived at the ruins of Mary Geoise and realized the scale of the battle and the strength of its top fighters.

Li Yuan overwhelmed Im with Extreme Life Enhancement and destroyed Im’s Dark Sea black hole, then exploited Im’s weakened defenses and poor combat instincts to wound him repeatedly. Cornered, Im drew power through the Dark Contract from more than a hundred blood suppliers beneath Mary Geoise and prepared to unleash his greatest strength.

• Li Yuan drove Im back for an extended period, and Im tried to destroy the Blood Sea by compressing the Dark Sea into a devouring black hole.
• Li Yuan split the black hole with Blood Dragon Severing Air Slash, then destroyed it with Hakoku and exposed Im inside.
• Li Yuan used the Blood Sea to prevent Im from rebuilding the black hole and wounded Im with a feint that bypassed his defenses.
