Kanami almost wanted to laugh when he heard Obito Uchiha's furious roar.

"No, it's not like I never gave you a chance before. You were the one who came running back to offer up your life. Was I supposed to refuse? Wouldn't the Hokage punish me?"

Obito Uchiha's face turned vicious!

Punish?

The Hokage, punish you?

It would already be a miracle if you didn't punish the Hokage!

He did not believe a single word of Kanami's nonsense!

"Since you gave me one chance, giving me a second one should be fine too, right?"

Tobi pleaded, though his tone was hardly submissive.

"No. You think I'll give you one just because you ask? What do you take me for? I'm not your dad. Why would I give you a second life?"

Kanami spoke casually. His Otsutsuki Physiology had basically entered its initial stage now, so sudden sneak attacks and similar threats were no longer particularly effective against him.

"Damn it! I never even saw my father in my life. I was an orphan from birth! And you still want to be my dad?"

Tobi was furious, but he could not beat his opponent.

Kanami could not help smiling at his exasperated appearance.

"Hahaha, Tobi, if you hadn't done so many bastard things, you'd actually be pretty cute."

He meant it. The younger Tobi had been quite a bit like that blond brat Naruto.

But the bastard things he had done made it impossible for Kanami to like Tobi.

"Hmph. Everything I've done may look wrong to you now, but someday you'll realize that I was right! Only I can bring true peace to this Ninja World!"

Tobi shouted loudly.

Just like his old dream: I'm going to become Hokage!
