Kabuto Yakushi's footsteps had barely faded when the space inside the secret chamber suddenly twisted.

A black vortex tore open a rift in the corner of the chamber, and Obito stepped out of the void, his voice low and cold beneath his mask.

"Interesting."

Konan burst apart in an instant, countless sheets of paper swirling around her as their sharp edges sliced through the air with faint whistles.

"What are you here for?"

Nagato frowned as well, his Rinnegan fixed on Obito, a flicker of wariness flashing deep in his pupils.

This man had been a mystery from the very beginning. He had brought the Eye of the Moon Plan, endless temptation, and an inescapable sense of unease. Even after embarking on this path of no return, Nagato still could not fully trust him.

Obito ignored Konan's hostility and even called Kabuto Yakushi back from outside the door.

"So, you've settled things already? I doubt it."

Kabuto Yakushi adjusted his glasses, his smile growing brighter.

"You truly are a perceptive man."

Nagato spoke in a low voice.

"We should not lightly trust someone of unknown origins."

He paused.

"The Eye of the Moon Plan must be advanced cautiously. We cannot let outsiders take the initiative."

Obito sneered, turned around, and stared straight at Nagato with the single eye beneath his mask.

"Do you truly understand the Eye of the Moon Plan?"

Nagato did not answer.

"It is meant to create a world without pain." Obito's voice turned even colder. "The sacrifices and methods involved are completely irrelevant."

Konan's expression darkened.

"You're acting strangely today."

She stared at Obito with sharp eyes.

"Your chakra fluctuations are more chaotic than before. They even carry a trace of strange excitement."

She turned to Nagato and spoke in a low voice.

"Be careful."

Obito
