The Increasing Strangeness

What on earth had happened?

Er Dongsheng could not help but feel deeply puzzled, and his heart suddenly tightened. This Camp seemed to have emptied out in an instant. All the Demons had vanished without a trace, leaving Er Dongsheng at a complete loss!

He hurried toward the Fairy Queen's residence. This time, he made no attempt to conceal himself. He flew at full speed, charging straight through everything, and reached the Fairies' territory within minutes.

"Just as I thought. Not a single person here!"

The Fairies' residence was just as empty. Not a single figure could be seen. The faint light illuminated the surrounding trees, casting mottled shadows among them. As a strangely chilling wind swept through, those shadows seemed to transform into countless ghastly specters!

Even though he was a Demon, Er Dongsheng still felt his scalp prickle.

Although Er Dongsheng had already anticipated this, he could not help showing a trace of disappointment. He gently pushed open the door of a vine house and walked inside.

Nothing inside the house had been disturbed. Everything was clean and orderly, as though its owner had still been sleeping here only moments ago. He picked up a wooden craft and rubbed it with his palm, getting a thin layer of dust on his claws.

"Looks like this place has been abandoned for quite some time." Er Dongsheng set the item down and inspected several more wooden vine houses. They were all the same. Nothing had been moved, yet the Demons who lived there had disappeared long ago.
