King of Fear-Ankugu Beast

Another day passed. Atop the enormous Bone Throne, blood-red light spread.

A tremor ran through it~

Chunks of flesh and shattered bone tumbled from the Throne. The dense blood aura began to dissipate, revealing boundless Evil. A red substance enveloped the entire Throne, chilling anyone who looked at it to the bone!

It was a Blood Cocoon~

Er Dongsheng silently opened his eyes. The strange patterns covering his body slowly faded from sight.

Rustle~

His azure gaze swept the surroundings. A strange ripple flashed out, and the Blood Cocoon shattered. The shattered bones and flesh on the floor burst into flame and swiftly vanished.

The vast Blood Cocoon withdrew into his body bit by bit. His body had changed, though only by a barely perceptible degree!

"The flesh and blood of these demons of darkness and chaos are hardly any use."

"But if I had the souls of humans who live under the sun..."

"How wonderful that would be!"

"Forget it!" Er Dongsheng shook his head. It was too early to think about that. First, he had to survive the crisis before him!

A blurred shadow emerged from his body. It took one step and flickered; the next instant, it appeared outside the Castle gates. It flickered again and vanished completely.

The shadow moved along the Castle's outskirts. The area was deserted. An occasional maid appeared, only to hurry out of sight.

Farther out stood rows of houses where demons lived. But a closer look showed that they, too, were empty. Every demon had disappeared without a trace!

The once-bustling market had shut down completely. The enormous Floating Island seemed sealed off: no one was allowed in, while those inside had vanished!

What on earth had happened?

The sky began to darken, heavy and black. Black Flame fell from it
