Er Dongsheng kept testing ways to escape the Spacetime Maze.

Countless dark-red passages surrounded him, like blood-soaked pipes.

But when Er Dongsheng tried flying into one, he reached its mouth and felt himself pass through a thin membrane. The next instant, he was back in the center of the clearing.

"So I can't just stroll out of here after all!"

Er Dongsheng narrowed his eyes and folded his arms, rubbing the tough blade-like spikes at his elbows.

Their edges were so sharp that even the scales on his hands felt as though they might be cut.

Crash... crash...

The sound of waves reached Er Dongsheng's ears again.

"That sound..." Er Dongsheng frowned, deep in thought.

Follow the sound... But the waves are coming from every direction. Which way am I supposed to go?

He listened to the same harsh rhythm of the waves and pondered.

He listened closely.

Crash... whoosh... crash... whoosh...

"Wait! That's..."

"System, amplify that sound!" Er Dongsheng's eyes lit up.

"No, slow it down more!" He still hadn't heard what he was looking for.

Cra... sh... cra... sh... whoosh... cra... sh... whoosh...

"Whoosh?" His brow tightened. "Remove the sound of the waves. Keep only that whooshing in between!"

Whoosh... whoosh...

Er Dongsheng listened to the isolated sound. Strangely, once the waves were stripped away, the whooshing seemed to come from a single direction. He looked toward it.

It seemed to be the dark-red cavern on the far left!

"Is that it? The way out?" Er Dongsheng murmured, but he did not rush over.

"One last step. Break beyond the limit!"
