A glimmer of curiosity appeared in Er Dongsheng's cold eyes.
He had been conscious all along. He was simply immersed in the feeling of destruction!
At that moment, the enormous Blood Moon hung in the sky, its crimson glow growing ever richer.
At some point, the Magic Network that covered the sky had drifted closer. It floated in the void behind Er Dongsheng, an eerie sight!
Countless wraiths howled out of the Blood Demon's severed arm, and his whole body seemed to shrivel slightly.
"Although only a small part of the plan is complete, and it isn't enough to bring my True Body fully across realms, it's enough!"
The Blood Demon glared with scarlet eyes. The human half of his face twisted in mounting agony, and he let out waves of wails.

As the wraiths sank into the ground, the earth began to boil.
It was as though someone had set a dark swamp ablaze. Mud and water churned up with all manner of debris, and bubbles rose with a gurgle.
A sickening stench spread through the air. Even the Blood Moon's bloody smell could not mask it.
