P.S. Thanks to Yaoyue Jinlou, Dim Demonic Soul (two tickets), and ly===1 (two monthly tickets). What rotten luck today—Sixue's computer broke down. Sixue just borrowed a friend's, so she can finally start writing! Sigh.
Crunch, crunch.
Mephisto stepped across the hardened soil, making his way toward the very center.
The temperature around him climbed higher and higher, almost beyond endurance.
Even Mephisto felt as though he was about to be roasted alive!

But he was certain it was no crystal. It was a real plant.
Milky-white sap seeped from the broken end, and the superheated air around it suddenly cooled!
Hiss!
The white sap dripped onto the ground and instantly froze a small patch of crystal.
A cluster of six-sided ice spikes appeared there like frost flowers.
Mephisto froze for a moment.
How was that possible?
A single drop of sap could cool things so powerfully?
Just how cold was it?
