Survival is difficult, especially when one is surviving alone in a dangerous wilderness jungle—it is incomparably difficult!

Having struggled bitterly for so many years in the despairing, suffocating Abyss, Er Dongsheng had transformed from an otaku martial artist with zero wilderness survival experience into a wilderness survival expert who would never give up in any desperate situation!

Survival, survival, what is survival? Life, existence! The primary prerequisite for wilderness survival is to maintain the safety of one's life, to constantly stay alert to the dangers around oneself. Even choosing a place to live was a matter of great importance! Not a single bit of carelessness was allowed!

Er Dongsheng cautiously explored all the way, slowly passing through that head-scratching region of land fissures. Yet, it seemed he had run into new trouble!

This was a secondary forest, and Er Dongsheng had run into trouble right here!

What is a secondary forest?

A secondary forest plant community originates from secondary wasteland and is formed through a series of secondary succession stages. In other words, it is a forest that naturally recovers after being destroyed by logging or other natural factors, and thus it is sometimes also called a natural secondary forest.

Clearly, the secondary forest here was caused by the previous massive volcanic eruption! Countless Abyss trees had been destroyed, and afterwards vines, Abyss Bamboo, and other plants swarmed in, rapidly occupying this place!

Because the volcanic ash contained rich nutrients, the vines and Abyss Bamboo here began to grow densely packed together. Vines with vines, bamboos with bamboos, and even bamboos with vines were all tangled up as they grew, in large, dense swatches that occupied almost all available space!

"Bang!"
