The subscription numbers were sickeningly bad. No matter how hard I kept at it or how consistently I updated, they just kept getting worse. All that effort was for nothing.
At 1.5 million characters, I'd actually reached the length called for in my original outline. With numbers this bad, do you think Qidian would ask me to wrap it up as soon as possible?
It looked like if Sixue collected the 500-yuan perfect-attendance bonus, Qidian would take a huge loss. The site couldn't earn that money back from my book. No wonder they wouldn't give it a recommendation slot, and my editor couldn't be bothered with me. I really hadn't given them any reason to care.
Forget it. I won't go on about it. I'll deliver the update burst I promised for the 25th, probably five chapters. I'll figure out what comes after that later. I won't abandon the book, at least.
