When had the Abyss appeared?
Most beings in the Universe now believed it had appeared at the end of the Mythic Age, the beginning of the Ancient Era. When the Abyss first emerged, the great beings had thought it was merely a decent Dark Plane. It had attracted almost no attention.
At first, the dark Abyss was weak and unremarkable. Hardly any great being cared about the plane. Some had explored it, only to find a barren place without a single living creature. It seemed utterly useless.
And so, as the factions slaughtered one another at the end of the Mythic Age and turmoil engulfed the Universe, no one paid attention to that weak little plane.
Yet at some point, the Abyss began conquering countless planes at an unfathomable speed. By the time it swept across the Universe and reigned supreme, everyone was baffled. They could not understand how a plane that had seemed so weak had suddenly unleashed such terrifying power.
Power that chilled them to the bone!
Power that shook every realm beneath the heavens!
A legend had begun!
After the upheaval at the end of the Mythic Age, a colossus had finally emerged in the Universe during that bewildering period. It bore down on every faction, and its terror made all who spoke of it turn pale.
The Abyss reigned supreme, and the Demon Lord became the greatest of beings.
Even setting aside the dreaded demon
