Hugo accompanied his cousin through several slave gladiator matches, taking the opportunity to settle quite a few mutually beneficial arrangements.
Just as host and guest were both satisfied and Hugo was preparing to leave with his people, they ran headlong into a group of uninvited guests.
"Ha ha, isn't this little Hugo? We brothers really are fated to meet!"
A Unicorn Youth clad in Dark Gold Battle Armor stepped out from the crowd and approached with a beaming smile.
It was none other than the "Sixth Brother" he had run into at the Interstellar Port.
"What's this? Little Hugo likes watching Gladiator Performances now too? How about the two of us have a go?"
The sight of this man made Hugo feel sick, and he had no intention of responding. He turned to walk around him.
However, Sixth Brother seemed unwilling to let it go and stepped in front of him once more.
"Hey, little Hugo, how can you be so rude? You may not give me face, but are you refusing to give His Highness the Seventh Prince face as well?"
"The Seventh Prince!"
Hugo frowned slightly and looked uneasily past him.
Among the crowd not far away, a black-robed young man with golden hair, jade-like skin, and a pair of crystalline white dragon horns was also looking their way.
Hugo had actually noticed the man from the start. As a direct descendant of the Ortega Family, he naturally knew who he was.
But seeing him together with Sixth Brother, who did not get along with him, Hugo had deliberately pretended not to recognize him in order to avoid unnecessary trouble and leave directly.
Yet now that Sixth Brother had openly revealed the man's identity, Hugo could no longer keep playing dumb.
"Greetings, Your Highness the Seventh Prince. Welcome to Lanka Star!"
Suppressing his displeasure, Hugo stepped forward and politely greeted the Seventh Prince.
Hugo had long heard that the Eternal Empire would be sending someone to attend the Lord of Domain Banquet for the family patriarch, but he had not expected it to be the Seventh Prince himself.
This Seventh Prince was somewhat different from the other princes.
Aside from being a member of the Eternal Empire's royal family, he had recently succeeded in becoming the disciple of a powerful Immortal God from the Lanting Universe Country.
With that status, his influence within the Eternal Empire Far Exceeded that of the other princes. He was no less significant than some World Lord-level generals.
Hugo could ignore Sixth Brother, but he absolutely did not dare ignore the Seventh Prince.
"Hehe, Hugo, is it? I've heard of you—the Future Star of the Ortega Family. Quite an impressive title!"
The Seventh Prince nodded lightly, though his Smiles carried a hint of teasing.
"Keep it up. I have high hopes for you. Ortega's future rests on your shoulders!"
Hearing the Seventh Prince's lightly mocking words, Hugo's polite smile faded slightly.
This so-called "Future Star of the Ortega Family" was nothing more than a rumor fabricated by certain people in the family to ruin his reputation in front of the elders.
He had at least dozens of titles like that.
Now, hearing such an obviously sarcastic title from the Seventh Prince made it clear that the prince's attitude toward him was not as friendly as it seemed.
Sure enough, the Seventh Prince's next words put Hugo in a difficult position.
"I heard you two were talking about a wagered duel? Hehe, I didn't get my fill watching earlier. You don't mind if I act as a spectator, do you?"
Though the Seventh Prince spoke politely, his tone clearly left no room for refusal.
"This..."
Hugo found himself caught between a rock and a hard place.
Had it been another prince, it would have been one thing. But the Seventh Prince's status was special, forcing him to handle this carefully.
He shot Sixth Brother beside him an irritated glance before forcing a smile and saying, "Your Highness the Seventh Prince... the slaves under me are truly not fit to be seen. If you want to watch, I can have the Arena arrange a few more matches."
"Oh?"
The smile on the Seventh Prince's face suddenly vanished. In a teasing tone, he pressed, "What if I insist on watching the two of you wager against each other?"
"Your Highness, what do you mean by this—"
Even with Hugo's temper, he could no longer hold it in.
He looked at the Seventh Prince unhappily and said stiffly, "Your Highness has come to attend the congratulatory banquet for our family patriarch, and we welcome you wholeheartedly. If there has been any lapse in our hospitality, please say so plainly. I'll go ask the patriarch to personally apologize to you!"
Seeing Hugo on the verge of exploding, the Seventh Prince quickly waved his hand and softened his tone.
"Hehe, don't overthink it. I only want to be a spectator."
After a brief pause, he directly took a strange weapon shaped like a pair of metal wings from his Space Ring.
"How about this? I won't watch for nothing. This is a Third-Grade Mid-Level Psionic Weapon, the Void Splitting Wing. We'll use it as a prize for the winner."
"Well? That should cover both of your appearance fees, shouldn't it?"
"A Third-Grade Mid-Level Psionic Weapon!"
Even Hugo, a wealthy man who owned an entire high-grade resource planet, was slightly stunned by the Seventh Prince's extravagance.
A Third-Grade Mid-Level Psionic Weapon was worth at least ten billion Eternal Coins—equivalent to several years of Lei Bao Star's revenue!
Yet the Seventh Prince had casually brought it out just to watch a gladiator match.
Still, although Hugo was tempted, he was unwilling to be toyed with like a monkey fighting over food.
But just as he was about to refuse, Sixth Brother, who had been silent for quite some time, seemed to see through his thoughts and immediately stepped forward to interrupt him.
"Little Nineteen, don't rush to refuse. Haven't you always wanted control of that Cloud Light Race woman? How about I put her up as the wager?"
At those words, Hugo's throat tightened. He then fixed Sixth Brother with an intense stare.
"What you said... is true?"
"Of course it's true. With the Seventh Prince as witness, could I possibly lie to you?" Sixth Brother replied smugly.
After receiving confirmation, Hugo's expression shifted several times before he finally spoke with a resolute gaze.
"I want control of Bing Lan and every Cloud Light Race slave in your possession. Agree, and I'll wager a match with you. Otherwise, we can stay here and drag this out."
"At worst, we wait until the patriarch's Lord of Domain Banquet begins. In any case, I don't believe you'd dare make a move against me on Lanka Star."
"Hehe, you really never let yourself take a loss."
Sixth Brother's gaze swept lightly over Old Wu and Qi Yuan behind Hugo before he nodded.
"Fine. You brought two slaves, so I'll choose two at the same level. We'll have them fight two matches."
"If you win one match, I'll give you control of the woman named Bing Lan. If you win both, I'll hand over all the Cloud Light Race slaves to you."
"But if you lose both matches..."
Sixth Brother's smile turned cold as he finally revealed his Schemes. "I want unrestricted mining rights to Lei Bao Star for the next hundred years!"
"Hehe, so after all that fuss, this is what you were after..."
After only a moment's thought, Hugo immediately nodded.
"Fine. I agree."
