Sai failed to gather any information about Lady Tsunade.

But he did collect some intelligence.

A force in the Land of Valleys had infiltrated various medical equipment companies and was stealing information about equipment from other countries.

"What kind of force is it? Could it be malicious competition from other companies?"

Normally, the most likely guess would be competition among major companies.

Such methods were nothing unusual.

Whether or not ninjas existed as a profession, there would never be a shortage of spies.

But after the other side stole the intelligence, Sai discovered that their employer was not a company, but a family.

That family was also a ninja force, and every member had been fitted with all kinds of advanced Scientific Ninja Tools. They kept the family under strict surveillance, leaving Sai empty-handed.

"They're hiding things this tightly. There must be a problem. Could it be this family? Did they capture Lady Tsunade because they wanted information from medical companies and needed her help improving the development of medical equipment?"

Sai considered one possibility.

But that was impossible. There was no need to capture Lady Tsunade. As long as they caught her at gambling and won big against her, she would obediently earn money for them. After all, she still carried the identity of the Fifth Hokage.

So Sai could only consider other possibilities.

Hopefully, she had not been captured and taken somewhere for experiments.
