A roar echoed across the vast sea.

All the freshmen lost their footing and staggered to the ground.

When they looked ahead, they realized it was not land at all. A head emerged from the water in front of them.

It turned out to be a whale as vast as a continent.

They were merely standing on the whale's back.

The continent they had thought they were on was only a tiny patch of the whale's back.

"Ah, so it's a whale! I'm actually standing on the back of such a huge whale. This is so cool!"

Boruto's heart skipped a beat, and delight filled his face.

Holy crap, this was way too cool.

This whale was even bigger than the toads of Mount Myoboku.

Boruto had seen the toads of Mount Myoboku before. He had never expected there to be a whale this large, one even bigger than the toads of Mount Myoboku.

Mitsuki said, "This is nothing. What you see next will be truly astonishing."

The smile on his face seemed to anticipate Boruto's coming shock.

Boruto said, "What kind of scene? How do you know? Aren't you a freshman just like us?"

"That is Konoha's epic—the display of the strongest ninjas' power."

Mitsuki smiled.

As the whale swam farther and farther away, an enormous stretch of land appeared before them.

As they drew closer, they discovered that the island was in utter ruins, with towering trees hundreds of meters tall.

Many areas appeared to have been knocked down by something. The entire island looked as though it had been damaged in a battle between colossal creatures.

Naruto looked up and said, "Uncle Tonbo, you can begin."
