Naruto walked over in tiny steps.
He discovered that Uncle Tonbo was gone again, and so were Sister Ayame and Grandpa Kosei.
Disappointment filled his eyes.
Especially when he noticed the gazes around him, colder than the deep sea.
Then he seemed to remember something and turned to head toward the other side of the street.
Bang!
A figure happened to block his path, and the two collided and fell to the ground.
"Ow."
"Ow."
"Who are you?"
"Who are you?"
Naruto and Sasuke pointed at each other.
"Damn it, I'm Naruto Uzumaki. Don't you watch where you're going?"
"Tch! I'm Sasuke Uchiha. You're the one who wasn't watching where you were going."
When Sasuke mentioned the Uchiha, he lifted his chin.
"It's you."
"It's you."
Intense sparks flared in their eyes.
They looked ready to start fighting.
"Hey, fight! Fight already!"
"Yeah, why aren't you fighting?"
The two voices rang out, and only then did Sasuke and Naruto turn to look.
Before their eyes stood a two-year-old boy and girl.
The boy had black hair and his hands in his pockets. The girl had white hair tied into twin buns, held up a lollipop, and shouted while eating it.
It seemed like them fighting was the proper outcome.
"Tenyu, Maki, where's Uncle Tonbo?" Naruto asked after seeing them and looking around.
Sasuke looked at the two suspiciously.
"Dad's busy, so he didn't have time. We came back by ourselves." Tenyu took out a key and opened the front door.
"If you've got something to say, come inside."
Maki skipped past them and even made a face. "You actually didn't fight. How boring."
Naruto and Sasuke exchanged a look, pouted, turned their heads away, and walked in.
