Konoha Hospital.
A young man paced outside the delivery room while two middle-aged men sat nearby.
Tobitake Tonbo had removed his bandages, revealing his original appearance: white hair and eyelashes, azure-blue eyes veiled in mist, and a tall, straight figure. Female nurses passing by kept stealing glances at him.
But when they saw him pacing outside the delivery room with anxiety written all over his face, the nurses looked disappointed. He was taken. They were unbearably jealous of the woman inside for finding such a handsome husband.
"Tonbo, stop pacing around. You're making my happy mood turn restless," Teuchi said.
It had been nothing at first. He had been through this before, and he had felt the same way back then. But watching someone pace back and forth really did make people worry about what was happening inside.
Tobitake Tosei mocked, "Son, with nerves this weak, did you buy your Jōnin rank?"
Tonbo finally stopped and rolled his eyes. "It's my first time having kids. It'd be strange if I wasn't worried, okay?"
He refused to believe that when he or Ayame had been in their mother's womb, his father and father-in-law had not felt the same way.
"Dad, Father-in-law, do you think it'll be a boy or a girl? What should we name them?
"I've thought about it for ages, but I still can't come up with a name."
Tonbo felt like his head was about to split.
He had read so many memories on the battlefield without getting a headache, yet this had truly stumped him. His usually reliable brain now felt like it had phlegm stuck in it.
"I'm saying, Ayame carried the baby for ten months, and you still haven't thought of a name?" Teuchi looked at him with contempt. What kind of man was he?
