More than half a day later, a dark-gray current wound its way through the distant void. Emperor Guixu landed silently on the fallen star, and the current churned around him for a moment before slowly subsiding.
"Everyone's here."
Emperor Guixu's gaze swept over the three of them before settling on Wuxin God-King.
"Wu Xin, it's up to you now."
Wuxin God-King said nothing more and rose to her feet.
She raised her left hand. A thin silver veil of light spread outward, enveloping all four people on the gray-black fallen star.
Silver light rose soundlessly from the star's surface. Like a wisp of mist drifting against the wind, it floated toward the entrance to the Dream Domain.
Fang Yan extended his perception through the veil. He watched the nameless fallen star shrink rapidly behind them, then saw the Dream Domain's entrance appear in the void ahead.
Wuxin God-King brought the light to a halt roughly five hundred million kilometers from the entrance.
Fang Yan clearly sensed a powerful presence stationed on either side of it.
On the left was a Second-Level God-King guard from the Thunderous Ancient Country, clad in crimson armor. On the right was a winged God-King guard from the Flame Wind Ancient Country. Each held one side of the formation, keeping the Dream Domain's entrance under tight guard.
The silver veil around Wuxin God-King changed its frequency several times before settling into an extraordinarily precise rhythm.
"Go."
The moment Wuxin God-King's voice reached them, Fang Yan felt the entire veil glide away like gauze caught by the wind, silently following the edges of the void's finest folds.
They passed less than ten million kilometers from the crimson-armored God-King. The guard did not so much as raise his eyelids.
To his senses, nothing about that stretch of void
