Background / History

Flame Ruins King was the Immortal God ancestor of the Fang Family and the ruler of Yinghuo Star. His residence, Flame Ruins Palace, contains a vast inner hall lit by innumerable Fire-Origin Crystals and heated intensely enough to seem to scorch the soul. 2

Though Fang Yan initially avoided him out of fear that his Spring Autumn Cicada's secret might be exposed, Flame Ruins King proved perceptive and protective. He recognized that Fang Yan possessed an unusual restorative innate technique—presented to him as “Three Qi Return”—and warned him that such abilities would make him a target. 8

After Fang Yan survived assassination and defeated an Immortal Lord as a World Lord, Flame Ruins King became increasingly proud of him. He misread Fang Yan's calculated public declaration as evidence of sincere, long-held ambition to serve humanity, publicly naming him the pride of the Fang Family. 11 12
