Background

Wu Ming was a top high-school student in Shushi and Ruan Qingzhu’s childhood friend and fiancé. He lived alone in a military-assigned residence near his school after his father, Wu Zhanguo, remained stationed elsewhere with the military region. 1 3 21

Possessing memories and future knowledge connected to Swallowed Star, Wu Ming recognized the danger posed by the RR Virus and the coming Beast Tide. He took temporary leave from school, trained intensively, accumulated supplies, and used his Equipment Bar to improve his body before the crisis fully erupted. 1 3 5

When the RR Virus reached Huaxia earlier than expected, Wu Ming traveled to Magic City to expose himself to it deliberately. His strengthened genes initially resisted the low viral concentration, forcing him to seek more concentrated sources rather than wait passively for transformation. 5 6

After surviving genetic transformation, Wu Ming turned the RR Virus into a cultivation resource through the Virus Controller talent.
