The following afternoon.

Wearing a red delivery uniform and red cap, Banner disguised himself as a delivery guy and rode his bicycle to Culver University's laboratory building, heading toward the security gate.

His expression was calm, making him look just like an ordinary delivery guy.

He soon arrived at the security gate and said to the campus officer on duty, "Buddy, I'm delivering pizza to the fifth floor."

Yesterday, he had confirmed that he needed an access card to get inside, which was why he had come up with the plan of disguising himself as a delivery guy.

"Nobody's on the fifth floor."

The campus officer, who had been slacking off while reading a magazine, glanced up at him.

"If I don't get paid, I'm screwed. Just let me go up and take a look."

Banner replied quickly.

The campus officer said nothing and stared at him with a serious expression.

Banner did not panic in the slightest.

Years of being hunted had forced him into becoming a master actor.

"I've got an extra pizza here. It's on me!"

As he spoke, he handed one of the pizza boxes to the campus officer.

The officer stood up, took the pizza, and opened the box for a look.

Then, he gave Banner a look that told him to go upstairs.

"Thanks!"

Banner extended his right hand toward the officer.

"God bless you, brother!"

The officer shook Banner's hand.

After passing through the security gate, Banner did not head to the fifth floor. Instead, he cautiously made his way to the laboratory where he and Betty had worked before he went on the run.

The old laboratory had now become an office.

Though the room had completely changed, memories of working here with Betty surfaced in his mind without warning.

There was only one teacher working overtime in the office.

After calming himself down, he used the same trick again and bribed the teacher with pizza.

What followed was simple.

He casually found a seat, logged into the database using Betty's account, and searched for information on the Gamma Pulse Project.

A few seconds later, a pop-up appeared on the screen: "No relevant information found."

Banner's expression immediately darkened when he saw the message.

He did not give up and continued by searching for his own name.

The result was no different.

The hope he had been holding onto finally died.

Suppressing his disappointment, Banner logged into the encrypted remote chat and contacted Mr. Blue.

Mr. Blue quickly sent a message.

"Mr. Green, did you find the information?"

"The information is gone."

Banner replied at once.

"Without the information, I can't help you."

"What do you plan to do now?"

Mr. Blue continued.

"I have to run again."

After replying to Mr. Blue, Banner logged out of the encrypted remote chat. Feeling dejected, he left Culver University, returned to Stanley's restaurant, and began packing the clothes Stanley had prepared for him.

Just then, his ex-girlfriend Betty arrived at the restaurant with her boyfriend.

The next morning.

New York's Upper East Side.

Roy was awakened by the ringing of his phone.

He picked up the phone on the bedside table. Seeing that the caller ID was a completely unfamiliar number only worsened his mood.

The moment he answered, General Ross's voice came through.

"The target has appeared."

"He's at Culver University in Virginia. How soon can you get there?"

Roy sat up and responded, "Within five minutes."

"Good!"

General Ross hung up immediately without hesitation.

Roy got up, changed into clean clothes, and went to the bathroom to brush his teeth and wash his face.

After finishing, Roy locked onto the Flying Thunder God Formula on General Ross and used the Flying Thunder God Technique.

In an instant, he went from his Upper East Side villa to Culver University.

More precisely, he arrived inside General Ross's command vehicle.

His sudden appearance out of thin air gave General Ross's female secretary quite a fright.

As for General Ross, he looked completely unsurprised.

"How's the situation?"

Roy asked General Ross.

"We've surrounded the target. He ran into the library ahead..."

Before General Ross could finish speaking, the moving command vehicle slammed on the brakes.

Then, a voice reached the inside of the vehicle.

"I know you're in there!"

"General, please!"

Betty, who had forcibly stopped the command vehicle, stood in front of it and shouted.

General Ross remained silent.

When Betty failed to get a response from General Ross, she cried out hoarsely, "Dad!"

With a helpless sigh, General Ross opened the door and got out of the command vehicle.

Roy did not immediately follow him out. Instead, he took ANBU's white Animal Mask from the System Space and put it on.

He did not want nearby students to snap pictures of his face and upload them online, turning him into an "internet celebrity."

"Dad, please, let him go."

Betty hurried over to General Ross and pleaded.

"You don't understand how dangerous he is."

General Ross replied.

Just as he was about to have the soldiers take Betty away, one of them pointed at the skybridge connecting the library's two sections and shouted, "The target is there!"

At the same time, the radio crackled with voices reporting, "The target is on the skybridge."

General Ross immediately turned toward the skybridge, grabbed the radio, and shouted, "Don't go in! I repeat, don't go in! Trap the target on the skybridge!"

When Banner was trapped on the skybridge with nowhere to go, he gave another order.

"Fire two tear gas grenades!"

Upon receiving the command, the two soldiers beneath the skybridge fired tear gas grenades at the enclosed walkway without hesitation.

The grenades easily shattered the glass and landed on the skybridge, releasing white smoke that severely irritated the eyes, nose, mouth, and other areas, causing tears, coughing, nausea, vomiting, and burning skin.

Banner immediately took off his jacket and covered his mouth and nose.

Obviously, it would not do much good.

If tear gas could be resisted so easily, it would not be so widely used around the world.

Seeing Banner trapped, Betty immediately ran toward the library.

"Bring her back."

General Ross immediately ordered the soldiers behind him.

Before she could get far, Betty was tackled to the ground by a soldier.

Seeing Betty being tackled, Banner immediately threw away his jacket, pressed both hands against the skybridge glass, and his eyes turned green.

The white smoke released by the tear gas soon filled the entire skybridge, and a massive silhouette appeared within it.

Roar!

A beast-like roar rang out at once.

The next second, Banner transformed into Hulk and leaped lightly from the skybridge onto the lawn, appearing in everyone's sight.

Whether it was Blonsky, Betty, or the other soldiers, all of them wore shocked expressions when they saw Banner transform into a green giant.

The only ones who were not surprised were Roy and General Ross.

After Hulk spread his arms and let out another thunderous beast-like roar, General Ross said into the radio, "Team A, open fire at full force!"

Rat-tat-tat-tat-tat-tat-tat-tat...

Gunfire erupted!

The barrage that could have riddled an ordinary person with holes failed to even pierce Hulk's skin!

However, Team A's gunfire successfully drew Hulk's attention and enraged the already furious Hulk.

Without hesitation, Hulk charged toward Team A.

"Where are the heavy machine guns? Get them in there, now!"

At General Ross's order, two Hummers equipped with heavy machine guns sped toward Hulk.

The heavy machine guns were obviously more powerful.

Yet the bullets they fired still could not penetrate Hulk's skin.

With one simple charge, Hulk took out one of the Hummers.

It only managed to slow Hulk down for a few seconds.

The second Hummer fared no better.

Hulk kicked it in the front, disabling it.

Then he lifted it up and smashed it against a nearby metal sculpture.

After only a few blows, the Hummer was reduced to pieces.

Team A's soldiers did not stop firing.

But their gunfire was completely ineffective.

After smashing the second Hummer, Hulk picked up the fallen engine and hurled it toward another Hummer in the distance.

It had to be said, Hulk's aim was accurate.

The engine struck its target dead-on and sent the Hummer skidding more than ten meters sideways, crashing into and overturning another Hummer nearby.

In less than half a minute, Hulk destroyed four Hummers.

Betty stared at the scene in disbelief.

She had never imagined that the gentle, humorous, and intelligent Banner would become a green giant with immense strength and an invulnerable body.

General Ross turned and glanced at Roy.

A few seconds later, he said into the radio, "Blonsky, go!"

Although he had spent fifty million to hire Roy, he did not intend to have Roy act immediately.

Roy was the final safeguard.

If Blonsky could handle it, there was no need for Roy to get involved.

After all, Roy was an outside hire, while Blonsky was one of the military's own.
