"Where are we going now? What's going on with this Lizard Man? Didn't you bring me to find Dr. Connors?"

Gwen looked at Roy with a face full of confusion.

"We're heading outside the city now. This Lizard Man is Dr. Connors," Roy replied quickly without any hesitation.

What?

How was that possible?

Gwen was stunned. She hurriedly turned to look at the sand behind them, which had Dr. Connors tightly wrapped up.

Although Roy had told her at noon that Dr. Connors might have created a serum containing lizard DNA,

she still found it hard to accept that the Lizard Man who had fought Roy was Dr. Connors, the refined and gentle scholar.

As far as she knew, the serum Dr. Connors had been researching would only grant people a lizard's ability to regenerate severed limbs.

After calming herself down slightly, she quickly guessed the reason.

Side effects!

The Lizard Serum developed by Dr. Connors had severe side effects!

Gwen did not waste time thinking about it further and asked Roy, "Is it because of the serum's side effects?"

"That's right. Do you remember the Physical Enhancement Drug you injected before?"

Roy asked Gwen in return.

"Of course I remember!"

Gwen nodded.

"The Physical Enhancement Drug you injected wasn't developed by Stark. He only optimized and refined it afterward."

"The original Physical Enhancement Drug also had severe side effects."

"I specifically sought him out and had him eliminate the drug's side effects."

Roy spoke unhurriedly.

So that was it!

After thinking for a moment, Gwen asked curiously, "What kind of side effects did the original drug have?"

"Violent tendencies, aggression, and insanity!"

Roy had no intention of hiding the side effects from Gwen and told her.

Gwen quickly recalled the changes in her mindset and mental state after injecting the Physical Enhancement Drug and becoming a superhuman.

After confirming that she had shown no signs of anything similar, she silently breathed a sigh of relief.

Though she said nothing, Roy guessed what she was thinking the moment she fell silent. Smiling, he said, "Biotechnology may not be Stark's main field of research, but he's a genius at everything."

"Forget using biotechnology to enhance a user's physical abilities. If he wanted to, he could even build a machine that safely traveled through time and space."

Gwen smiled sweetly and asked softly, "Since when did you know him so well?"

"I saw on the news before that he likes not only women, but men too. He's a typical bisexual. You two wouldn't happen to be..."

Before Gwen could finish, Roy interrupted her and said with a serious expression, "He's him, and I'm me. I only like women."

"Also, let me remind you that I found Dr. Connors as you requested. You'll have to pay the commission soon."

Gwen froze for a moment.

Then, the fair face beneath her mask turned bright red.

Roy did not keep teasing her. Instead, he focused on controlling the Sand Cloud beneath their feet and the sand wrapped around Dr. Connors.

More than ten minutes later,

they arrived above a forest outside the city.

Roy casually chose an empty patch of grass and landed.

He did not immediately release the Sand Binding Coffin. Instead, he turned to Gwen and said, "The Lizard Serum's energy has run out. Dr. Connors has changed back into human form."

"Isn't that a good thing?" Gwen asked in confusion.

"Whether it's good or not aside, he wasn't wearing any clothes when he transformed into the Lizard Man."

Roy gave Gwen a reminder.

Gwen immediately understood. "You mean he's naked now that he's turned back into a human."

"Yes."

Roy nodded.

"Take something out of your storage space for him to cover himself with."

After saying that, Gwen turned around, putting her back toward the sand that wrapped Dr. Connors.

Roy did not waste any more time and dispelled the Sand Binding Coffin.

Before the sand flew back into the gourd at his waist, he had it spin through the air like a sand tornado for a while, "cleaning" it.

He clearly remembered that when Dr. Connors returned to human form in the movie, the flesh and tissue generated by the Lizard Serum would rapidly age and decompose, producing residue.

He did not mind the sand getting stained with blood.

But he had no intention of letting it return to the gourd wrapped around those disgusting decomposed flesh residues.

With the sand no longer binding him, Dr. Connors appeared in Roy's sight in human form, completely naked, with part of the skin on the left side of his face resembling lizard skin.

The current Lizard Serum was still incomplete and could not allow Dr. Connors to permanently maintain his Lizard Man form.

Furthermore, regenerating both arms three times in a short period had consumed most of the serum's energy, greatly shortening the transformation time.

Roy walked over to Dr. Connors, took out a blanket from the System Space, and tossed it to him.

Dr. Connors looked at the blanket before him in confusion and said to Roy, "Weren't you going to kill me?"

"If I wanted to kill you, you would have died the moment you saw me."

Roy responded.

Dr. Connors swept his gaze around the area and continued, "Then why did you bring me here?"

"Don't go back to New York. Go wherever you want."

"If you dare return to New York and cause trouble again, next time I won't cut off your hands. I'll cut off your head."

"Lastly, since you haven't caused any casualties yet, I'll give you a piece of advice. Losing one hand won't affect your intelligence. You're still a top scientist."

"Some things are gone once they're gone. Too much obsession will only harm you."

After saying that, Roy turned and walked toward Gwen, recalling the sand from the Sand Cloud into the gourd as well.

When he reached Gwen, he wrapped an arm around her slender waist and decisively used the Flying Thunder God, returning from the forest to Gwen's bedroom.

"Thank you." Gwen removed her mask and conical hat and spoke to Roy.

"There's nothing to thank me for. It's not like I'm some deranged murderer."

"No matter what, he was your internship mentor and taught you some things."

Although Dr. Connors after injecting the Lizard Serum was unquestionably a dangerous person and a supervillain, that was because the serum's side effects had affected his rationality.

Before that, Dr. Connors had been quite a good mentor.

Take Gwen, for example.

Before Gwen graduated, he had given her plenty of advice about applying to college and had even offered to help write recommendation letters.

Remembering Dr. Connors' previous guidance, Gwen sighed, took off the Red Cloud Robe, and returned the robe, conical hat, and mask to Roy. She then said softly, "It's getting late. You should go back and rest early too."

After returning the Red Cloud Robe, conical hat, and the rest to the System Space, Roy raised an eyebrow at Gwen and said with a smile, "Someone still hasn't paid the commission."

Gwen's face immediately turned bright red, and she quickly said, "I definitely won't go back on my word. Tonight isn't convenient. We can talk about it later."

"I think now is quite convenient. Your parents and brothers are all asleep."

"As long as you don't make too much noise, you won't have to worry about waking them."

"Of course, if you're embarrassed to do it here, we can go to my place."

Hearing Roy's words, Gwen's face turned even redder.

More than ten seconds later, she lowered her head and said quietly, "Let's go to your place. Remember to bring me back before dawn."

"Alright!"

Without any hesitation, Roy immediately swept Gwen up in his arms and used the Flying Thunder God to return to the bedroom of his Upper East Side villa.
