Meng Zu felt his body fall backward out of control. He hurriedly adjusted himself and stood up, only to see another version of himself sitting perfectly fine on the meditation cushion.
"Is this an out-of-body experience?"
Meng Zu raised his hands and examined himself in amazement. His body had become semi-transparent, and he felt weightless. He tried making himself float, and to his surprise, his feet really left the ground.
"Don't move around. Souls can easily run into problems after leaving the body." Daniel rose to his feet, walked over, grabbed Meng Zu's arm, and pulled him back down from midair.
An out-of-body experience was something Meng Zu had never experienced before, and he was filled with curiosity. "What kind of problems?"
"The soul is the most important thing a person has. Normally, a soul cannot leave the body. Only after death does it separate from the body and go where it is meant to go. Occasionally, a living person may experience their soul leaving their body. Since they are not dead yet, there is still a connection between the soul and the body, and the soul will eventually return to the body by instinct."
"However, the farther the soul travels from the body, the weaker that connection becomes. Some people lose their way and do not know how to return. In the end, they truly die. And that is not all. If a soul encounters an evil dark wizard or a demon, it is practically a gift delivered right to them. You can imagine how that ends."
Meng Zu was a little frightened. "Mage Daniel, then why did you knock my soul out of my body?"
Daniel smiled. "Didn't you want to solve your energy problem? This is the solution."
"Other than feeling weightless, I don't feel anything at all!" Meng Zu said in confusion.
"You have no talent for magic, so I needed to pull your soul out of your body in order to guide you." Daniel's soul then stepped directly out of his body.
"We're starting!"
Daniel placed a hand on Meng Zu's shoulder. At once, Meng Zu felt as though he had been thrown into a washing machine, his entire body rolling uncontrollably up and down.
Strange and fantastical scenes flashed past his eyes. By the time he finally steadied himself, he discovered that he had arrived in a dazzlingly colorful world.
Calling this world colorful was not a metaphor. The entire world was made up of rays of light in countless different colors. Those lights drifted like mist. Meng Zu had no idea how vast this world was; as far as he could see, both before him and in the distance, there was nothing but this light.
"Mage Daniel, where are we?" Meng Zu asked Daniel curiously.
"This is a world formed from Dimensional Energy."
Dimensional Energy? He had heard of it often, but he had no idea what it actually was, so Meng Zu remained silent and waited for Daniel to explain.
"Every kind of magic in the world is powered by energy, but different magic uses different forms of energy. For example, the priests of the church use energy from the Heaven Dimension, while the energy of demons mostly comes from the Hell Dimension. Magic is the act of communicating with these dimensions, obtaining energy from them, and using it in a particular way."
"The Sorcerer Supreme told me that the energy within you is very unusual. It is not the power of any common dimension, which is also why you have no talent for magic. This Dimensional Energy World is special. It attracts some energy from practically every dimension. Whether it is common dimensional energy or rare dimensional energy, the special energy you need should be here."
Meng Zu said in surprise, "Mage Daniel, does that mean that as long as someone uses this Dimensional Energy World, they can use whatever magic they want?"
"No." Daniel shook his head with a smile. "The energy in this world is far too mixed. If you want to use magic through this world, you have to specifically search for the dimensional energy you need. "Energy is not stored inside the body. It exists beyond both the soul and the body. The body merely allows you to use energy more effectively. Even in soul form, you can still use energy." Daniel demonstrated. With a wave of his hands, a magical shield appeared in his grasp.
Meng Zu tried opening the system panel. Huh, it actually opened, but Daniel beside him could not see it.
All right, in that case, he would use a skill. But the moment Meng Zu looked at the skill panel, he was immediately dumbfounded.
Multifunctional Bullets required actual bullets. Teleportation? But he had set the teleportation point in the basement of his home. If his soul teleported back, what would happen to his body? Leap of Faith? He was floating already, so where was he supposed to jump?

After reaching full capacity, however, his energy unexpectedly became 61 after a while. By the time all of that misty energy had flowed into his body, his energy had reached 65.
His energy limit had increased, making Meng Zu very happy. He asked in delight, "Mage Daniel, what dimension does this energy come from?"
Daniel pondered for a moment, then shook his head. "I do not recognize it either. Perhaps the Sorcerer Supreme knows. I will ask him later."
"Mm!"
"Now I'll create a mark that connects you to this world. In the future, you can use this mark to absorb this energy."
A trace of the energy Meng Zu had just absorbed lingered on Daniel's fingertip. Daniel pressed that finger against Meng Zu's brow, and a small magical formation appeared. That trace of energy merged into it, and then the formation vanished.
"All right, it's time for us to return."
