Um, Can You Say That to Me?

Shivering, tomorrow was this little nobody's birthday.

As an almost-thirty old man with no parents, I suddenly really wanted to hear someone say that to me.

Sigh, it was too hard. I'd been living alone for years now. Every holiday, I was alone. I couldn't see a future, and I didn't know how much longer I could keep going.

Winter was almost here again. Winter was too hard to endure.
