"Hey, kid, I'm about to give a major speech. Aren't you coming to watch?"
Evening.
Li Stark jolted awake at the call in his ear.
At that moment, pitch-black moonlight bathed his entire body, like a black cloak draped over a knight.
His black hair stood straight strand by strand, and his dark pupils held a soul-stealing gaze that could make anyone fall for him at first sight.
"Tony!" Li Stark called out a familiar name.
Tony Stark, his biological parents' cousin and his uncle, had just sent him a message so absurd he could hardly complain about it.
Besides being Stark's nephew, he was also a transmigrator.
In his previous life, he had grown up in an orphanage. He had only just managed to support himself when cancer struck, and he died in his twenties.
After coming to the Marvel world, he had been born into a wealthy family. Unfortunately, his parents had not been healthy enough and died shortly after he was born. His uncle, Iron Man, had raised him until now, giving him warmth. He wanted to protect this family.
But he also knew that the Marvel universe was full of danger. Without any useful skills, forget protecting his family—he could not even protect himself.
So, while he was still in elementary school, he had secretly studied technology. Perhaps because of his rebirth, his intelligence had improved by leaps and bounds compared to his previous life.
In fourth grade, he had invented his own armor based on Mark I. He had given it a special name.
Vision.
Yes, as a fan of American comics and AAA games, he knew what Vision represented: a classic example of artificial intelligence, loyal enough as well. He was confident that he could surpass Tony and create a perfect Vision.
But now, the most troublesome problem had arrived. Based on the fourteen years he had lived in Marvel, this might be the Marvel of the movie universe, because he had already seen what Tony was doing.
Accompanied by the stirring music of "Shoot to Thrill," Tony leaped down from the sky and landed precisely in the center of the venue's stage.
"It's over. Is it still going according to the original plot?" Li Stark felt utterly depressed.
Just as he expected, Tony delivered the opening speech for the Stark Expo amid enthusiastic cheers.
Li was speechless. He had once warned Tony to keep a lower profile. After all, in the original plot, Tony had already offended quite a few people because of his arrogance. Yet every time, Tony brushed him off with, "I know, kid, but you should focus on your studies first."
At this point, all he could do was take things one step at a time, Li Stark sighed.
The next day, Tony attended the "Hand Over Iron Man" hearing.
At the hearing, Senator Stern accused Tony's Iron Man armor of being a new threat to the free world and demanded that Tony hand the Iron Man suit over to the state.
"As Hydra's mole in the military, Stern is asking to die. How can I get rid of him without anyone noticing?" Li Stark pondered carefully.
What followed was exactly the same as the plot of Iron Man 2. Tony's rival, Hammer, leveled accusations against him, and even Rhodey, still Tony's friend at the time, read out testimony unfavorable to Tony under Stern's unreasonable demands.
Afterward, Tony hacked into Congress's computers and played the truth that many countries had concealed. He also exposed the fact that Hammer Industries had been secretly developing Iron Man armor.
Tony won this hearing in spectacular fashion.
After returning home, Li Stark laid out all his thoughts.
"Uncle, we should strike back. Stern and Hammer are both the sort of people who thrive on chaos. Stern is a Hydra mole. We should find evidence and expose him, along with Hammer Industries."
Tony wore a stunned expression, as if he had thought of something.
"Hey, kid, I think you're being too sensitive. Your uncle may have been targeted by them, but you saw how pathetic they looked. Maybe you haven't rested well lately. I'll have Helen Cho take you out to relax properly, okay?"
An arm could not twist a thigh, much less when Li Stark was only fourteen years old. He was not even an arm yet, so all he could do was follow Tony's orders.
Speaking of Helen Cho, Li Stark had always found her somewhat strange. In fact, the women around him all treated him strangely.
Ever since he was born, women around him—even women he did not know—would tease him with their words from time to time, whether they were classmates or teachers. It was a problem that had troubled him to this day.
After coming to Tony's home, things improved somewhat. After all, a playboy like Tony had a new woman by his side every few days, perhaps canceling out Li's buff. But when Helen Cho appeared, Li's cursed romantic entanglements returned with her.
