A Uchiha Moderate ninja leaned against the wall and let out a lazy yawn. Sunlight spilled across his face, warm and soothing, making him drowsy.
Suddenly, with a whoosh, a kunai shot toward him like lightning, grazing past his ear before burying itself viciously in the wall behind him.
Bang! The sound of the kunai striking the wall jolted him awake. His entire body tensed instantly, and vigilance flashed through his eyes.
"Who is it?" he cried, swiftly scanning the surroundings in an attempt to find the attacker.
"The person is already gone. See what he said," his companion said calmly, his gaze falling on the note tied behind the kunai.
Only then did the Uchiha Moderate ninja notice the note on the kunai. He quickly removed it and read it together with his companion.
The note read: "Please report to Clan Head Fugaku and Lord Chuan that Uchiha Tieyue is preparing to awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan, but its authenticity cannot yet be verified."
The two Uchiha ninja exchanged looks, surprise appearing on their faces.
"Uchiha Tieyue is going to awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan? How is that possible?" one of them muttered, his tone filled with disbelief.
"Hurry and notify Clan Head Fugaku and Lord Chuan!" the other immediately reacted, urgency in his voice.
Without the slightest hesitation, the two turned and ran toward Fugaku Uchiha and Uchiha Chuan.
Meanwhile, in a shadowy corner not far away, several Reflective Faction ninja from the Uchiha Hardliners quietly watched everything unfold.
"Is it really okay for us not to sign our names?" one of the Reflective Faction ninja asked softly, hesitation in his voice.
"Idiot. We may not trust Uchiha Tieyue, and we may despise those fools acting all high and mighty, so we decided to return to the Moderate main branch.
