Amid the endless drizzle of the Land of Rain, space suddenly warped. Minato and Kushina Uzumaki appeared out of thin air, scattering fine droplets from the puddles beneath their feet.
"Minato, Kushina, why are you here?"
The fishing rod in Fugaku Uchiha's hand trembled slightly as he turned toward the two sudden arrivals, surprise flashing through his eyes. Beside him, Uchiha Chuan's true body remained focused on the water's surface, as though he had not been surprised by the visitors at all.
"Fishing? Fishing again?" Kushina's red hair seemed even more vivid in the rain. With her hands on her hips, her voice nearly drowned out the rainfall. "The Four Kage have invaded the Uchiha Clan Territory. Your Flesh Clone is over there fishing, and now your real body is still fishing here!"
Fugaku's pupils abruptly constricted, and the fishing rod in his hand snapped in two with a crack. "What? The Four Kage invaded the Uchiha Clan Territory? How dare they—"
"Why wouldn't they dare?" Kushina sneered, rainwater sliding down her cheeks. "As long as they reached an agreement with that old Third Hokage, forget killing the Uchiha—even killing me along with them, so what?"
Fugaku's body visibly stiffened for a moment, the tomoe in his Sharingan spinning madly. "The Third Hokage... formed an alliance with the Four Kage? He chose to stand by and watch the Uchiha die?"
"That's right!" Kushina kept her hands on her hips. "That old bastard used the village broadcast to order no one to provide support, then came up with some lousy excuse about the situation being unclear. I exposed his true face on the spot!"
Minato gave a bitter smile and shook his head. "Kushina and I couldn't accept such betrayal, so... now we're rogue ninja too."
