Aboard the Helicarrier, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s mobile fortress.

A one-eyed Blackhead stood with his hands behind his back, pacing back and forth irritably, his expression stiff and solemn.

Beside him, Phil Coulson looked somewhat helpless.

Maria Hill rolled her eyes. "Sir, could you calm down?"

"Calm down? How am I supposed to calm down? Natasha, our finest Level Ten agent, has been controlled by some damn 'World Transmigrator' whose background we know nothing about! Do you think I can stay calm? If he's an enemy, he could steal S.H.I.E.L.D.'s most important secrets!" The one-eyed Blackhead was none other than S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick Fury.

Coulson remained composed. "Director, didn't he say he wanted to join S.H.I.E.L.D.?"

"Enemy or friend? Can you be sure Natasha hasn't been controlled? Can you be sure he isn't here to destroy the Helicarrier?" Nick Fury suddenly turned and asked.

Fine, Coulson said nothing more.

Maria Hill rolled her eyes again, too lazy this time even to look at her director.

"Have the soldiers get ready, just in case!" The director gave the order.

"Are you sure?" Maria Hill turned toward him, disbelief written all over her face.

Coulson also tried to dissuade him. "Director, this may provoke him."

"Of course it will provoke him—if he's an enemy!"

The two fell silent. They knew that once the director had made up his mind, it was difficult to change it.

Just as Nick Fury was fretting anxiously, a piercing alarm suddenly sounded.

"What's going on?"

An agent reported, "Director, an unidentified energy mass is rapidly approaching us! Estimated arrival time: thirty seconds!"

"What? What kind of energy mass?" Nick Fury froze.

"It has been detected at the level of a super nuclear bomb!"

"What?"

"Could it be that 'World Transmigrator'?" Coulson asked.

"The detected energy is mostly lightning, with another portion... that cannot be identified," the agent continued.

"Then it must be him. Didn't Natasha say that World Transmigrator controlled lightning?" Maria Hill said.

"!" Nick Fury's tightly furrowed brow twitched. He turned and strode out. "Notify the soldiers to be on full alert! Come on, let's go meet that so-called World Transmigrator!"

The unidentified energy mass was Kino.

Lightning was incomparably fast. If not for the Black Widow in his arms, why would he have needed thirty seconds? He could have arrived in one.

He shot up in one breath to above the Helicarrier's deck. Looking at the armed soldiers below who stood ready for battle, Kino smiled. "It seems your director is really giving me quite the welcome."

"Hmph!" The beauty in his arms snorted angrily.

Ever since she had been forced to drink a bellyful of rich, smooth Telunsu, the Black Widow Natasha had worn that expression. No matter what Kino said to her, she only answered with a "hmph."

Not every drop of milk could be called Telunsu!

Kino smiled and did not mind Natasha's attitude. After all, she had been made to drink a bellyful of Telunsu.

He had to be considerate, didn't he?

Though he landed, he did not let go of the Black Widow. Being held before all her colleagues made her ashamed and furious. Unfortunately, she did not have a shred of strength left, and that damn electricity had numbed her again.

Otherwise, how could she possibly have been so obedient?

The stern-faced Blackhead in the middle was obviously Nick Fury; on the left was the highly recognizable Phil Coulson; and on the right, with a cold expression, was Maria Hill.

"It is an honor to meet you, Mr. Nick Fury," Kino said first.

"The feeling is mutual!"

Nick Fury snorted, looking utterly unwilling. Even a blind man could tell he did not mean it.

"You are... the World Transmigrator?"

"That's me."

"Can you put Agent Natasha down?" Nick Fury glanced at the limp Black Widow and frowned as though constipated.

"No!"

"May I ask why?" Nick Fury's dark face became even darker.

"Because she's comfortable!"

"Huh?"

Kino said something that left the three of them dumbfounded. Fortunately, the wind was strong up in the sky and the nearby soldiers were too far away to hear clearly. Otherwise, the Black Widow might have been embarrassed and depressed enough to kill herself.

"She's soft and comfortable. Let me hold her a little longer!"

The three: "((′--)--)-_-)"

They could not help imagining what might have happened between the two during that time. At his speed, it should have taken only around two minutes to arrive, yet nearly forty minutes had passed since the video call.

What had happened during that time?

The Black Widow glared viciously at Kino. Her body had been numbed by electricity, and she had even temporarily lost the ability to speak. She could only try to kill him with her eyes. Of course, that was if looks could kill! That hateful bastard had forced her to drink a bellyful of Telunsu milk, which was bad enough, though at least nobody had seen it. But now... he was humiliating her like this in front of her colleagues!

Aaaah, damn it—she wanted to kill this bastard so badly!

"Mr. Nick Fury, is this how you treat a guest?" Kino swept his gaze around.

The surrounding soldiers took a synchronized step back.

Nick Fury's face darkened further. Damn it, how humiliating. Starting tomorrow, every one of them would lose one forkful of goose rice a day!

"First, I have to confirm whether you're our friend!" Nick Fury blinked his one eye and said as though it were only natural.

"Of course I am! But I hate having guns pointed at me!"

After saying that—

His eyes narrowed sharply, his pupils trembling slightly as an invisible "shockwave" instantly swept through the area.

—Bzz!

Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud...

Like dumplings dropping into a pot, all the soldiers on the Helicarrier's deck collapsed to the ground in unison. Even Nick Fury and Phil Coulson reacted as if facing a great enemy, their minds trembling violently as cold sweat poured down their foreheads... before they could no longer control their bodies and dropped to one knee.

At that point, no one on the deck remained standing.

Oh, aside from him, the Black Widow in his arms, and... Maria Hill, who stood nearby with her eyes wide in shock.

She stared blankly at her companions lying unconscious around her. After being at a loss for several seconds, she suddenly drew her pistol. "Back off! Put down... squat... both... both hands on your head!"

Naturally, she was also so shocked that she could barely speak coherently.

She did not understand what had happened!

"No. While I still have a soft spot for beautiful women, you'd better not do that, beautiful." Kino gave her a faint smile, then ignored her. "Mr. Nick Fury, can we now find a place to have a proper talk?"

"Huff... huff... huff—"

Nick Fury gasped for breath. He had no idea what had happened in that instant. He felt as though his mind had been struck, as if it had been battered by a Category Ten gale. His heart had clenched violently, and he had nearly fainted like his subordinates. He had every reason to believe that if Kino had not needed him for negotiations, he would have passed out long ago.

Even so, he felt as if he were carrying several hundred pounds on his back. His body was so heavy that he could not stand.

The Black Widow in Kino's arms was shocked as well. Others did not know what had happened, but she, at such close range, saw it clearly. That damned guy had merely narrowed his eyes and knocked out over a hundred people with a look!

If she knew that Luffy had used Conqueror's Haki to knock out fifty thousand people in one strike, she probably would not have been so shocked.

"You... what... what kind of ability is this?"

"Conqueror's Haki!"

Nick Fury wore an expression as though he had eaten shit. "Con... conqueror's what?"
