Two Segments (Part 2)

Thor always felt as though he had been led in circles.

This... sounded like that was what it meant, but... something still felt off?

"This is the second segment." With a wave of Kino's hand, the video changed.

Naturally, it was a segment from the beginning of Avengers: Infinity War.

The two brothers were once again dumbfounded.

This timeline's story began after Frigga's death in Thor: The Dark World. Naturally, Frigga would not appear aboard the ship, nor would there be a scene of Frigga stepping forward to trade her life for another's. Loki tried to ambush Thanos, only to be brutally crushed to death. Thor grieved over his brother's corpse, and then the ship exploded.

"I... died?" Loki asked again.

Thanos said one sentence: "This time, don't even think about coming back to life."

"I don't know!"

"Huh?" The two brothers froze. What did he mean, he didn't know?

Kino waved a hand and said indifferently, "I really don't know! Your ship was blown up, and only a few days passed before the battle of Wakanda broke out. I truly didn't see whether Loki had died this time... or was playing dead again. But... he was a crucial link in the timeline. Once Thanos died, that timeline collapsed."

Loki understood. "So... it's a mystery?"

"Mm, you could say that. But judging by his habits, you might really die... After all, he was killing half of everyone, so he'd leave one Asgardian prince alive."

Kino had no desire to step on a landmine. What if this old fox Loki had really faked his death again?

"Regardless, I didn't see you on the original battlefield in Wakanda," Kino said.

Loki asked, "Then... what was the original outcome of the battle?"
