Ancient Spirit Forbidden Land

The silver moon and stars quietly faded away. The first ray of sunlight rose in the east, streaking the purple sky with hints of red.

A massive figure shot out from the forest. Its huge white body swept past, its white scales gleaming beneath the rising sun.

Xiao Yi Xian stood atop Chi Han, fresh air drifting through the high skies...

"Roar!"

Chi Han let out a comfortable morning roar toward the distance, his enormous white wings flickering in and out of sight amid the clouds.

A trace of purple light flashed through Xiao Yi Xian's eyes. The energy from that flesh and blood yesterday had been far too abundant. Her cultivation had now reached the two-star Da Dou Shi level.

"Master, I can sense unfamiliar auras lingering ahead," Chi Yan said, quietly poking his tiny head out from Xiao Yi Xian's sleeve.

"Mm."

Xiao Yi Xian nodded and walked over with Liu Yan. At least having a lead was better than having none.

Within the mist, two black-clad figures advanced step by step, while the occasional sound of footsteps echoed ahead of them.

After who knew how long, a different scene suddenly appeared before them. Seeing that enormous black shadow, Xiao Yi Xian frowned and said cautiously, "There's something over there..."

"Hm?"

Hearing this, Liu Yan behind her also became cautious. White mist surrounded this place, so what was going on with something suddenly appearing here?

Before long, Xiao Yi Xian and Liu Yan approached it. What greeted them was a pile of rubble and several ancient, gnarled trees.

The two quickly walked over, pulled aside the withered vines, and brushed away the dead branches and leaves from the broken stele. At once, they felt an overwhelming sense of antiquity.

Three ancient characters were carved upon it. Their strokes were vigorous and heavy, ancient and powerful as dragons, carrying the aura of time. No one knew how many years they had existed.

"What does this say?" Xiao Yi Xian stared at the three words. No matter how she looked at them, she could not recognize them. They were completely unlike modern writing.

Liu Yan carefully studied the three ancient characters beside her, then shook his head. "I don't recognize these three characters either!"

Just as the two were troubled by the words, the mark on Xiao Yi Xian's right hand began to emit white light.

"Then wouldn't it be 'Ancient Spirit Forbidden Land' when put together?" Liu Yan linked the four characters together. The instant he read them aloud, his expression changed.

Suddenly, a beam of light burst from the stone stele. White radiance instantly swept over them.

Xiao Yi Xian, Liu Yan, Xiao Ling'er, and the beast felt as though they had entered some strange spatial tunnel. The world spun around them, leaving them dizzy and disoriented.

When they regained their senses, the three stood in the middle of a palace. Above the silver-white palace sat a person, while people dressed in gold and white stood all around them.

"Uh!"

Xiao Yi Xian was bewildered by the scene around her. What exactly had happened?

Xiao Ling'er looked around with great curiosity, as though the Dou Huang-level pressure weighing upon her body had vanished.

Behind them, Liu Yan felt wave after wave of powerful pressure locking onto him. Cold sweat covered his forehead, and even his legs began to tremble uncontrollably.

"Who are you, and why have you trespassed into our domain!"
