Buggy did not get too carried away. He turned aside and began to think.
Come to think of it, what is going on with this crazy battlefield? Pirates and Marines alike are all big names. I'd better keep my head down, or I could end up in danger.
As Buggy considered what to do next, a voice interrupted him.
"Hey, Red Nose."
The words sent Buggy into a rage. He spun around and roared,

Buoyed by the clueless prisoners behind him, Buggy declared through a faceful of tears,
"It's been a long time. Prepare yourself, Whitebeard! I'm taking your head today!"
Tears streamed down Buggy's face. He was finished. He might die right here today.
Behind him, Mr. 3's legs were shaking. He had no idea what Buggy was thinking.
Then Buggy heard Whitebeard propose that they join forces.
Buggy could have sworn he had no idea why Whitebeard wanted to team up with him, but he was so happy he could almost faint.
"Fighting the Marines? That's insane. We can't win."
Mr. 3 hurried to warn Buggy. He was counting on Buggy to get him out of Marineford. How had this turned into an all-out battle
