In the eastern New World lay Endpoint.
A large Marine warship was anchored in the waters nearby.
An old man stood on its deck with a host of Marines. A closer look at his uniform revealed that he was a Marine Vice Admiral.
The old man was Garp. As soon as he learned that one of the Endpoints had been destroyed, he had rushed over with his men.
Endpoint was no longer a Volcano. It had become a pillar of magma that shot straight into the clouds.
Magma gushed out in torrents, and plumes of black smoke spread in every direction, filling the air with the heavy smell of sulfur.
Even from far away, Garp felt the heat rolling toward him. It whipped the Marine coat behind him, while the fiery magma bathed his face in red.
The island where Endpoint had stood had vanished completely. The pillar of magma seemed to erupt straight from the sea. The surrounding water boiled and bubbled, and the bodies of countless sea creatures floated on its surface.
The waters around Endpoint had become a cauldron of seafood soup. Even the corpses of Sea Kings could be seen rising to the surface.
On the warship behind Garp stood his two disciples, Koby and Helmeppo, along with many Marine soldiers.
Koby might once have been a weakling, but he was now a Marine Captain. He could use Observation Haki and techniques from the Six Powers, including Soru and Geppo.
Garp had recently applied for a Devil Fruit for Koby as well. Given Garp's standing, it should reach Koby soon.
Koby stared at the pillar of magma and remembered the man who had thrown a punch at him during the Summit War.
"If Endpoint is destroyed, the world will end. Everyone knows that's a lie, right?"
