"Ah..."
The scene froze.
Bon Clay had almost reached Perona when he suddenly doubled over in pain. His posture was ridiculous: a staff had jabbed straight up into his Crotch.
Nami had never taken part in a fight, but in the world of One Piece, her quick wits were second to none.
"Damn it..."
Bon Clay had dismissed Nami from the start. Her bounty was zero, while Perona's was 75 million Beli, higher than his own. So he had ignored Nami completely. Yet just as he was about to succeed, the person who ruined his plans was the very one he had overlooked.
"Negative Hollow."
Bon Clay turned to attack Nami, but he was too late. Perona pursed her lips and flicked her pale fingers. At her crisp call, a plump little ghost drifted through his body.
Thud. It was over.
Bon Clay had been caught off guard. He dropped to his knees, his head hanging as he wailed, "What's the point of being an okama? Neither man nor woman, neither one thing nor the other—I'm a freak! I might as well bash my head in!"
Nami showed no mercy. She leaped up and brought her staff down again and again. Whack, whack, whack! Blows rained on Bon Clay like a storm.
"I'm Stone! Stop hitting me!"
Bon Clay still refused to admit it. Nami struck him again and sneered. "That lie is pathetic. Zoro would never come back to the ship this early. Without someone to show him the way, he couldn't find it! And Stone wouldn't just leave the Death God."
"Ghost Bomb!"
Perona showed no mercy either. She hurled several bombs at Bon Clay, making him howl until he finally reverted to his true appearance.
The effects of Negative Hollow would wear off after a while, but
