"Look! The Visual Den Den Mushi is showing something!"
The newspaper reporters still waiting anxiously in the broadcast hall all turned toward the Visual Den Den Mushi at the shout. Sure enough, the screen, which had been completely black, suddenly lit up.
A smoke-filled scene appeared. Then, like an obnoxious television commercial, the picture cut straight to Buggy's comedy routine.
Buggy kept talking for several minutes without stopping. The reporters began cursing, and more than a few wanted to rush to Marine Headquarters and swallow him whole.
But when Buggy's pointless segment finally ended, the reporters were stunned by how much the battle at Marine Headquarters had changed in such a short time.
"What's going on? Why are the Marines the ones surrounded?"
"Why has Dragon's Revolutionary Army shown up? And what's Blackbeard doing here?"
Before the Visual Den Den Mushi's feed had been cut, neither the Revolutionary Army nor the Blackbeard Pirates had appeared. Yet there they were now, right on the screen.
At first glance, the Marines were already surrounded. The Whitebeard Pirates, the Grim Reaper Pirates, and the Straw Hat Pirates held the area deepest in the plaza, near the Execution Platform. At the outer edge, by Bay Head, the Marines were steadily falling back as a dark tide of Revolutionary Army soldiers drove forward. At this rate, the Marines would soon be encircled.
"Tell headquarters, quickly! This is huge news!"
Hagman, a reporter for the BBC Newspaper, shouted without even stopping to wipe the cold sweat from his brow.
His reminder sent everyone else scrambling into action.
Marine Headquarters would soon become the focus of the entire world. Whatever the outcome of the war, the balance of power was bound to change.
