Garp's fists were fierce and powerful, striking like thunder. Blow after blow slammed into Shiryu of the Rain. Shiryu fought to hold him off, hoping to pin him down, but he alone could not stop Garp once the man had gone berserk.
A little later, Lafitte and San Juan Wolf came to help. Together, the three barely held Garp back, and even then they struggled. Taking one of his punches was no laughing matter.
A punch from Garp felt like a mountain crashing down on you. It churned your insides and was almost impossible to withstand.
Blackbeard pressed his attack without pause, growing more vicious by the moment. He had no intention of wasting time. Blood poured from Sengoku's wounds, and his injuries grew worse. The marines who tried to help were mostly tied down by the Revolutionary Army. Even Garp, the closest of them, could not get there in time.
"Dog Biting Crimson Lotus!"
Blackbeard pierced Sengoku's chest again. This time, Sengoku's life finally came to an end.
Blackbeard glanced around with disdain, then hurried to begin his Hunt. By the time Garp had beaten Shiryu back and charged over, Blackbeard had transferred Sengoku's power into an apple. Where he had gotten so many apples was anyone's guess, but he had clearly prepared them in advance.
"Sengoku!"
One look at Sengoku tore Garp's heart apart. Rage nearly made him explode. He leaped up and drove a fist at Blackbeard.
"Hell Hound!"
Blackbeard struck back without hesitation. He had expected to gain the upper hand, but the moment their fists met, he realized how badly he had underestimated Garp. A tremendous force surged into his body and drove him back two steps. His eyes widened. Even with all his strength, he could not force Garp back.
