Bray circled Lucci, darting left and right, up and down. He was hard to track, and his speed was astonishing.
Lucci was strong and fast himself, but he was still a step behind. As a Gale-Gale Fruit user, Bray had a natural advantage in speed.
Bam!
Lucci dodged quickly, but the kick still caught him. His face darkened, rage surging through him. His black eyes turned ice-cold, and the fury inside him nearly reached its limit.
His ears twitched. A sudden rush of air came from behind, and Lucci sensed danger. He planted his feet and sprang into the sky. "Soru!"
An afterimage remained where he had stood. But the instant he leaped, a sharp crack sounded behind him, and an iron fan struck his back.
Bray floated down and gave Lucci a knowing smile. "You're no match for me!"
Bray's advantage in speed was overwhelming. Lucci had sensed the attack coming, yet he still couldn't avoid it.
Lucci spat on the ground. Then he saw Bray discreetly shake out his right hand twice. His eyes lit up, and a cold smile tugged at his lips. "Looks like that hurt you too!"
Bray froze and immediately stopped shaking his hand. He put on an easy smile. "I'm perfectly fine. I've had you on the defensive this whole time. They say you're the Vice Captain of the Grim Reaper Pirates and the most gifted assassin CP9 has ever had. Looks like they were lying."
Bray carried himself with elegance and smiled as warmly as a spring breeze. In his white suit, he looked every inch a wealthy gentleman.
Lucci snorted. An idea struck him. If he kept trying to match Bray's speed, he would only play into Bray's hands. He would be better off using his own strengths and fighting him
