"What do we do?"
They waited a while longer. Luo still could not tell what was going on, but enemy reinforcements kept pouring in. Even he, usually so steady under pressure, turned pale.
"What else can we do? It's not like we haven't faced this before." Lucci clenched his fists and gave a scornful smile.
Their situation at Dragon Mansion had been no easier, and they had fought their way through it. Lucci had made up his mind: if they could not escape, they would fight.
"Can't we escape underwater?" Luo asked.
Monet shook her head. "Pleasure Valley's terrain is unusual. The water here is deep, but it's very shallow around White Wolf Mountain, which we passed on our way in. The other seven islands are the same. Even if we submerge the ship here, a vessel this big can't pass underwater by White Wolf Mountain or any of the other islands. I'm sure they've stationed plenty of guards around the perimeter."
"Let's try anyway," Luo ordered.
As the Death God prepared to dive, Night Demon and the others stood on shore and watched without making any move to stop it. Luo's heart sank. They were clearly confident he and his companions could not get away.
Sure enough, the water grew too shallow when the Death God reached White Wolf Mountain, forcing it to surface. Even more people lay in wait there. Dahill had brought a full three hundred men to guard the passage.
"Forget it. Stop wasting your strength."
Lucci shook his head and ripped off his coat. He kicked off the deck and shot through the air toward East Valley Guardian Dahill like an arrow. "Prepare for battle!" Dahill shouted. "Send for reinforcements! We have to stop them!"
Bam!
Lucci swooped down and drove a fist into Dahill
