Black Spider stared in shock, disbelief written across her face. She hadn't even seen how Kuina had moved.
The Wado Ichimonji pressed coldly against her body. The chill of the metal seemed to seep right through her, making her tremble. "Are you going to kill me?" she asked in a shaking voice.
Kuina shook her head. "You're too weak. Killing you would be pointless!"
Before she had finished speaking, a flash of blue light streaked past. The Wado Ichimonji struck Black Spider, knocking her unconscious despite Kuina holding back.
"Take this!"
A Pleasure Valley underling rushed Kuina from behind, certain his sneak attack would land. Before his fist could touch her, though, the Wado Ichimonji was already at his throat.
"Ah..."
He slammed to a halt, too frightened to take another step. His whole body shook.
"Hmph..."
Kuina gave a cold laugh, disappointment flickering in her eyes. She raised her blade and knocked another one unconscious.
Ratatat...
More than a dozen gun-toting underlings closed in from a distance, their bullets whistling mercilessly toward Kuina. She lifted her chin and whipped her sword into a blur. Its keen edge flashed up and down, sending countless cold glints through the air. It was as though a shield had appeared around her. The incoming bullets rang against the blade and ricocheted back.
Kuina's hair danced as her graceful figure moved like a phantom. From beginning to end, she remained unscathed.
"Oni Giri!"
Zoro charged like a Tiger descending a mountain. His slash unleashed a savage wave of sword energy that sent Pleasure Valley's underlings sprawling amid endless screams.
