Frostcloud Giant's Elemental Womb

The straight passage stretched into endless darkness. Li Ziran's group had already been traveling through this fallopian tube for nearly two hours.

The stone walls were writhing.

Sticky, as though smeared with some aged paste, yet more like naturally secreted stone slurry. This slurry released an air current carrying the taste of salt, rushing straight at them like tides in the sea.

Li Ziran pressed tightly against the stone. This tongue was soft, but it was unquestionably stone—rather like... rather like a beach assembled together.

In some of the softer areas, he could even press his entire body into it.

They had been moving through this bizarre corridor for half an hour already.

The stone slurry was like a swamp, binding their hands and feet and preventing them from moving quickly. This strange environment, like flypaper, greatly affected their speed.

But he was certain that the end of this passage should be the womb.

And within the womb, there should be a fork in the path. The two branches would connect to two ovaries, which could produce the eggs most vital for breeding offspring.

"Put some muscle into it. Don't fall behind!" Li Ziran reminded them softly—though, to be precise, he was encouraging himself.

He had underestimated the difficulty of the fallopian tube.

Whoosh!

A violent current suddenly surged from directly ahead, tearing at the surface of their skin and rolling toward the rear.

The force was immense and sudden, like a crosswind.

This was the womb's normal rejection response. To the Frostcloud Giant, they were Elemental Bugs capable of causing infection, and its bodily functions were actively trying to expel them.

Li Ziran smiled. This was good news. The closer they got to the womb, the stronger this instinctive bodily defense would become.

"Be careful. Don't get blown out!"
