Background

Anfuni originally served as a White Tiger Priest and one of the Elf Queen’s personal priests. During the Elven pilgrimage, she was sent to Madinger Town to press Jon—a Title Magister—into leaving for Despair Forest and pursuing his advancement through contact with the Eternal Ancient Tree 55.

After Jon was transformed by Nightmare Mist and Eternal Light, Anfuni returned in the form of a tiny azure Elf and revealed that she had subdued his soul. She retained control of him even after he became the sole Eternal Giant Frog in Elven history and gained command of the Eternal Element 71 73.

Anfuni sought Li Ziran’s help because she wished to obtain a mature female body and return to the Elf Queen’s side. The Queen permitted only women to remain beside her, while Anfuni’s existing body did not match her identity or desired role 73 74. Li Ziran eventually performed extensive organ transplantation and body reconstruction, including the installation of female reproductive and urinary organs 105 106.

She is also politically perceptive and commercially pragmatic. She understands Soul Plasma channels, Demon trade, Shadow Society politics, and the value of controlling market access. Her proposals to Li Ziran are generally framed as mutually beneficial arrangements, though she is willing to conceal motives or apply pressure when necessary 164 165 249.

Despite her calculation and occasional aggression, Anfuni is deeply loyal to Li Ziran. She becomes emotionally destabilized when he appears to die, entrusts herself to extreme suffering in order to wake him from the Void World, and is identified by Li Ziran as the person he trusts most on the continent 245 614 625.
