Background

Mu En is a veteran of an earlier generation of Douluo Continent powerhouses. He traveled the continent alongside Long Xiaoyao and Ye Xishui, fighting evil and aiding the weak; he loved Ye Xishui, while Long Xiaoyao was once his closest kindred friend. 152 464

He belongs to the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan and is Bei Bei's great ancestor. A powerful Lightning Tyrant Dragon left-leg bone was likely an heirloom of that clan, though Mu En ultimately had it given to Huo Yuhao because of his expectations for her future. 103

A life-and-death battle with Poison Must Die, Du Busi's elder brother, left Mu En grievously wounded more than a century before the main story. Although he survived, the lingering injuries bent his body, impaired his lifespan, and restricted his usable strength for years. 292 314

Response to the Holy Spirit Cult

Recovery and Return to Peak

Huo Yuhao offers Mu En the Gold of Life to save him from his accumulated injuries. Though he initially refuses, he accepts after recognizing the growing threats facing his disciples and Shrek Academy. 292
