Lin Xiaotian survived the Ouyang Household’s mine expedition, escaped with Xiao Jingli, and entered the Xiao Household while concealing his growing strength. The arc left him facing a test against four talented Xiao women, with his safety and place in the lineage at stake.

• Master Huang told Lin Xiaotian that the Ouyang Household suspected he knew about the missing Ouyang Dongli, and Lin accepted its mine trial after pretending his injuries had not healed.
• Lin Xiaotian hid the wounded Qin Yueyao from the Ouyang Household, helped her escape, and learned that the Lineages feared her powerful sister.

He returned to the Xiao Household with the body, as the Xiao and Ouyang leaders sought Master Huang’s techniques and pills for their struggle against the Murong Household.

• Lin Xiaotian defeated the Xiao women in the ring with Gale Step, then refused to teach the Xiao Household his improved technique as he left to find Xiao Jingli.
• At the Ouyang Household, Lin Xiaotian learned that Xiao Jingli had died and rescued Ouyang Nianci from Li Aihui, then helped her break through to External Force.
• Lin Xiaotian killed Ouyang Fanke after Nianci and Aunt spared him, then supported Nianci as she challenged Second Uncle to remain with the Ouyang Household.
