Xia Lun's fingers tightened around the rough sword hilt. He flicked his wrist, and the cold tip instantly pointed at the curse's black light hurtling toward him.
The black light was astonishingly fast. Like a pitch-black meteor, it crossed mountains, high-rises, and forests in an instant, swelling rapidly in Xia Lun's vision.

Xia Lun gave his wrist a slight turn and guided the force outward with the effortless touch of a brushstroke. In an instant, the raging curse arced through the air like a tennis ball struck by a racket, then shot back the way it had come even faster!
Curse-Reversal Strike had worked!
A flicker of joy had barely risen in Xia Lun's heart when the curse's aftershock struck beside him.
"Pfft—"
In an instant, the bulletproof glass before him aged and shattered. The seats and leather rotted away in moments. Even the car itself rapidly decayed, exposing a rust-covered frame.
The engine died. Cracks appeared across the trunks and branches of the trees on either side of the road, and plump, pale maggots squirmed out in waves of slick
