The Light Whale smashed through a ceiling more than ten meters thick as though it had fallen from the sky, plunging straight into the sewer.

Stone dust and chunks of brick sprayed everywhere. Gritty dust billowed through the air, and the darkness spread in layers like ink disturbed in water.

Countless Blind Lights followed the Light Whale into the sewer. Streaks of light shot down in straight lines, leaving brilliant rainbow trails behind them.

At that moment, every color before Xia Lun's eyes began to come apart. It was as if a mad artist had dipped a huge, frayed brush in paint and started slapping it across a realistic painting.

Behind the army of Blind Lights came Clockwork Court Guards, falling like rain. Their icy blades reflected a dizzying array of colors, turning the scene into literal light pollution.

The bad news was that these enemies far exceeded anything Xia Lun could handle, in both number and strength. This was a fight for his life.

The good news was that most of them had landed on his and Tina's side. Only a few had fallen near Renee and Abby—and the steel gate in the main channel on Renee's side really had opened.
