His heart beat a little faster as Xia Lun sat down and carefully opened Renee and Guewen's notebook. He picked up a pen and quickly wrote on a blank page in the language of the last Scenario world.

"Renee, can you see this?"

The smell of ink slowly spread. Half hopeful and half afraid of disappointment, Xia Lun watched the page for several seconds. Then a few neat black characters appeared beneath his words.

"Xia Lun?! Is it really you?"

A smile tugged at Xia Lun's lips. He immediately wrote back, "Yes."

"I missed you, Xia Lun. I missed you so much..." Renee's handwriting was slightly distorted, as though she had pressed down hard.

Xia Lun quickly wrote, "I missed you too, Renee. Are things all right over there?"

This time, Renee did not reply at once. Her pen paused, and black ink slowly spread from the point where it stopped. Though worlds separated them, Xia Lun could still picture her adorable expression as she searched for the right words.

A moment later, her pen moved again.

Xia Lun raised his head, fighting the urge to grin. He deliberately looked away from the notebook and waited quietly for Renee to finish. Several seconds later, he looked down again, and his pupils abruptly contracted.

"Xia Lun, are you a 'Player'?"

Xia Lun's smile vanished. His scalp prickled, and an electric chill shot from the soles of his feet up his spine!

He had imagined Renee might write all sorts of things, but he had never expected her to use the word "Player"!

Taking a deep breath, Xia Lun focused for a moment on the air flowing through his nose and calmed his shock. After some thought, he wrote frankly.

"That's right. I am a Player. But how did you find out?"
