Time had reversed?!
Stunned, Xia Lun instinctively looked to his side. The train windows rattled, lush green woods raced backward in a blur, and the enormous chimneys of the Thermal Power Station still billowed white smoke against the distant blue sky.
Time really had reversed. He was back on the train from the start of the Scenario!
What was going on?
Xia Lun took a deep breath and glanced at the Information Panel.
[Warning: You have suffered excessive kinetic damage (mitigated) and fire damage (immune). Your Life Force is rapidly draining!] [Current Physical Health: Minor injuries] [Warning: Your mental state is deteriorating rapidly!] [Current Mental Health: Serenity]
The damage from the Thermal Power Station explosion was real, but his Life Force was now far stronger than that of most Evil Spirits, so he was fine.
"Xia Lun, are you all right?"
An anxious woman's voice came from his left. Xia Lun turned to find White Line looking at him with concern, a candy wrapped in gold foil resting in her palm.
"This restores Mental Health," she said softly with a blink. "It works really well. It can even restore your maximum Mental Health." Warmth stirred in Xia Lun's chest, but he still shook his head. His mind had always been perfectly calm; he had no need for it.
The truth behind this round of the Scenario seemed far removed from his initial guess. His priority was to find the others so they could pool what they knew and decide what to do. He started looking around for his teammates.
But before he could, a piercing scream erupted from across the aisle.
"Aaaaaah!"
The scream made his scalp prickle and even hurt Xia Lun's ears. Frowning, he looked over and saw that the one screaming was Cripple.
