Xia Lun hesitated.
By all logic, since White Line was still alive, she should be in the world of the Sorrow Hill City Scenario, not here. The blood-soaked White Line atop the Lighthouse was most likely an illusion.
But factoring in the Attraction, the chance of her appearing here didn't seem to be zero.
What should I do?
Xia Lun narrowed his eyes. After weighing his options for only a moment, he made his decision.
Even if the blood-soaked White Line on the Lighthouse is an illusion, I still have to go ashore!
Taking a deep breath, Xia Lun turned to Roman and Manhunter, both of whom looked grim.
"The Lighthouse clearly isn't going to let us go," he said quietly. "Looks like I have to go ashore."
"Go ashore?" Manhunter froze. "Lord Xia Lun, this has to be a trap!"
"For once, Manhunter isn't talking nonsense. It's definitely a trap." Roman shook her head. "We could at least try hitting the Lighthouse with the Laser Cannon first."
"Code 18 won't let us go easily. If we want to survive, we need to retain some initiative," Xia Lun said firmly. "According to the Drift Bottle, there's a key on the island that leads into the depths of the Sea Abyss. This is one of our few chances to strike back."
Roman opened her mouth, then closed it. She blinked and gave a soft sigh.
"In that case, I'll go with you. Manhunter, are you coming?"
Manhunter nodded like a pecking chicken. "If Lord Xia Lun has made up his mind, of course I'm coming."
"Neither of you move. I'll go alone." Xia Lun waved them off. "Defend the Submarine. If things get dangerous, have Carson take it away. I have a way back."
