A Note on the Book's Release

Dear readers, hello! I'm Lying Flat and Muddling Through.

As you can see, this book is about to become a paid release. I wanted to take this opportunity to have a little heart-to-heart with you all.

First, I have to thank you for your support.

It's embarrassing to admit, but although I've been reading web novels for nearly nineteen years, this is only the second book I've written. Early on, its reader-retention numbers were pretty dismal. I'd even braced myself for losing recommendations after the first round. But thanks to your support, that didn't happen. You even lifted me all the way into Sanjiang. I can hardly put my gratitude into words.

To show my appreciation, I've decided to post extra chapters, even though I have no drafts saved up.

I'm going to write through the night and see how much I can finish, then post it all tomorrow morning. The update might not arrive at 8:05 as usual; it could be a little later or a little earlier. Either way, I'll definitely post extra chapters to thank you properly.

To be honest, the pressures of real life were so overwhelming that, after struggling to finish my last book, I seriously considered never writing another novel.
