Xia Lun flipped open the clasp with his forefinger, then slowly pushed the Wooden Box's lid forward with his thumb.

He peered inside expectantly and found, to his surprise, a thin book.

He took out the book and casually flipped through a few pages. Then he realized he couldn't read the writing, though its form seemed somewhat like the tadpole script he had seen in the first Scenario.

Frowning slightly, he softly called up the Information Panel. An illuminated screen spilled down beside the book like liquid mercury.

"Blah, blah. I can't read," Xia Lun joked dryly. "But judging by that note, do some divination items not restore their safe uses automatically?"

That brought Daoist Huang’s Eyeball to mind. The extraordinarily powerful divination item might be one of them.

"Forget it. No point guessing. I'll find out tomorrow." He shook his head and was about to put the book into the Voidwood Box when a sudden flash of inspiration struck him.

"Wait. Could I use Symptom Reading to read writing I don't recognize?"

He opened the thin book and began sensing its contents through touch, smell, and hearing.
