Background / History

Third Peak is a major branch of the Xuan Yuan Sect, with an Inner Sect Hall distinguished by jade-tiled floors and nine ever-burning glazed lamps. Its elite disciples wear blue robes marked by three silver sleeve-stripes. 1

The peak maintains an annual challenge rivalry with Seventh Peak. Each side sends ten disciples below Foundation Establishment to fight by lottery, with the side achieving more victories claiming the prize. Seventh Peak won the previous year, gaining an additional thirty percent of resources and leaving Third Peak determined to retaliate. 4

Lin Qing'er arranged for Qin Yuan to register temporarily under Third Peak for the challenge match. Several of the peak's disciples doubted him because he was an Outer Sect disciple, and Chen Mo placed him last in the fighting order. 4 6 After Qin Yuan defeated all ten Seventh Peak representatives, Third Peak disciples Wang Chuan, Sun Hai, and Zhao Qingwan falsely claimed that an unidentified expert had won the matches and tried to seize Qin Yuan's reward. 6

Third Peak's conflict with Qin Yuan escalated after Liu Feng was defeated. Liu Zhenshan, the peak's Enforcement Elder and Liu Feng's grandfather, sought revenge and investigated Qin Yuan's sudden rise in cultivation. 13 Lin Qing'er later left Third Peak for Fifth Peak, citing Third Peak's atmosphere of internal scheming and its tendency to treat ordinary Inner Sect disciples as expendable pieces rather than genuinely cultivating them. 16

During the Xuan Yuan Small Realm competition, Third Peak's team was led by Lu Yun. It joined forces with Seventh Peak's Xiong Li to target Qin Yuan and Fifth Peak, but retreated after Qin Yuan defeated Xiong Li and forced Lu Yun's side from the core area. 18 19 20 21 Following Qin Yuan's later ascent among the True Disciples, Third Peak was ordered to cease its schemes and avoid provoking Fifth Peak. 35
