The two stood facing each other, each forming opposing hand seals.
Then Shisui looked at Hane. "Since it's come to this, Hane, it seems I have no choice but to use my full strength!"
As he spoke, Shisui's eyes instantly turned red. First came the Three-Tomoe, then they spun rapidly, forming the shape of a windmill.
Watching Shisui's movements, Hane was slightly taken aback. Is Shisui planning to use Kotoamatsukami on himself? That would just be asking for trouble.
Of course, Hane was only making a little joke to himself. Leaving aside the fact that Shisui was not that kind of person, if he really did it, Shisui would be the first to suffer. The Eye of Truth between Hane's brows was not there for decoration. A mental backlash alone could turn Shisui into Haku.
"Looks like Big Brother Shisui has quite a few secrets hidden away too," Hane said calmly.
"I didn't expect someone as young as you, Hane, to already know what these eyes represent!" Shisui became even more cautious toward Hane.
"Tch! It's just the Mangekyō. What's there to be smug about?" Uchiha Retsuyō muttered disdainfully from the side.
"Are you proud just because you have the Mangekyō? Weren't you still beaten so badly by our young clan head that you couldn't fight back?"
Shisui naturally heard Uchiha Retsuyō's muttering. He turned and looked at him in surprise. He had not expected Uchiha Retsuyō, one of the radicals who had always loyally followed Hane, to also be a clansman who had awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan.
At that moment, every trace of luck vanished from his heart. Both hands gripped the twin blades at his waist as he narrowed his eyes at Hane, who stood there casually.
Yet with that single glance, he suddenly felt immense pressure descend upon him. The casually standing Hane seemed like a towering mountain, his entire body radiating an impenetrable, oppressive weight.
Hane let his powerful spiritual force spill forth and quietly watched Shisui, who gripped his twin blades yet was unable to draw them.
"Big Brother Shisui, begin your performance," Hane said, his eyes calm like a pool of utterly still water.
Against any Uchiha who dared challenge him, Hane had to crush their pride first. Only then would they truly submit to him, in both heart and body.
As time dragged on, fine sweat gradually appeared on Shisui's forehead. His breathing grew heavy, and his hands began to tremble slightly.
He wanted to draw the twin blades at his waist, but for some reason, whenever the thought of drawing them arose, immense terror welled up in his heart. It was as if the Death God were watching him.
Shisui's Adam's apple moved slightly. The Mangekyō in his eyes spun madly, trying to break free from Hane's powerful spiritual suppression.
His pride absolutely would not allow him to face Hane and be unable even to draw his weapon.
In an instant, a powerful conviction filled his heart. The blades at his waist were drawn at once, a cold flash streaked through the air, and Shisui's figure vanished instantly.
A hint of surprise flashed through Hane's eyes. "As expected of Shisui. Trying to suppress him with spiritual force alone was clearly underestimating him."
A sharp gust from a blade appeared behind Hane. He took a slight step forward and instantly appeared fifty meters away.
Shisui's fierce slash struck Kong and hit nothing but empty air. "So fast! What kind of technique was that?" His pupils contracted slightly.
Under the powerful vision of his Mangekyō, Hane's step forward had seemed as though the surrounding earth had instantly contracted. When Hane reappeared, he was already outside Shisui's attack range.
"Worthy of Body Flicker Shisui! You really are fast!" Hane turned slightly, smiling as he praised him.
"Hane! Compared to you, what does my speed amount to? I never imagined that among the Uchiha, someone could master Earth Release to such a degree. Hane! I have to admit that you are the strongest genius the Uchiha have seen in centuries!" A bitter smile appeared on Shisui's face.
Instantly contracting the surrounding earth to achieve the effect of teleportation—such mastery over Earth Release was probably beyond even the Kage of Iwagakure.
"Big Brother Shisui, this is only the beginning! Oh, and a friendly reminder: don't use Genjutsu on me. I'm afraid I might accidentally hurt you!" Hane kindly warned him.
The Eye of Truth's power was far too great. It was not something Hane's current strength could control. The moment he opened that vertical eye, his spiritual energy would be drained dry.
That was why, despite possessing this eye, Hane had not dared use it carelessly. One second—that had been the limit of his earlier experiments.
But even if Hane did not actively open the eye, the Eye of Truth's passive counterattack would still activate automatically. Once someone launched a mental attack against Hane, the backlash would no longer be within his control.
Shisui froze upon hearing that. He did not understand why Hane knew what he had been planning next, but he still stopped himself from using Genjutsu. Looking at Hane helplessly, he asked, "Can you tell me why?"
"Because some techniques are beyond my current ability to control. Once you use a mental Genjutsu on me, my mental counterattack will instantly strike your soul. Big Brother Shisui, I don't want to hurt you!" Hane said with a bitter smile. Sometimes, having something too powerful was not necessarily a good thing.
In the end, power had to remain within one's control! Bloodlines were unlike Dao Arts. Even though Hane's control over his body had reached the microscopic level, he could not rely entirely on the system to improve his control over the Eye of Truth. He had to gradually familiarize himself with this newly awakened bloodline power.
Yet this created a vicious cycle. Hane could only use the Eye of Truth for three seconds, and that was already the result of recent training that pushed his spiritual energy to exhaustion. To rapidly strengthen his bloodline power, his current rate of spiritual energy recovery was still far from enough.
Shisui nodded silently. He believed that Hane would not deceive him about such a matter. But even if he could not use Genjutsu, Shisui still did not want to admit defeat just like that.
Aside from Genjutsu, he still had swordsmanship, the Body Flicker Technique, and ninjutsu. Shisui could be said to be a well-rounded ninja.
In an instant, Shisui launched another fierce attack at Hane.
Their figures darted rapidly around the training ground. Every time Shisui launched a sharp attack, Hane seemed to see it in advance and narrowly avoided it.
Each time, Hane moved like a sheet of paper drifting with the wind, slipping past Shisui's blade by the narrowest margin. This inability to harm Hane in the slightest made Shisui increasingly alarmed.
His speed was something only the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, could rival in the Ninja World. His swordsmanship, meanwhile, had been inherited from the Second Hokage's sword techniques left behind by his grandfather.
With the two combined, even against a Kage Level expert, Shisui was confident that he could fight for a while without losing. Yet before Hane, all he felt was profound helplessness.
With that technique that could compress the earth, every step Hane took could drastically change his position. Combined with the fact that Hane seemed able to predict every swing of Shisui's blade, Hane was like a loach—slippery beyond belief. Every strike landed only on Kong, powerless as cotton.
Shisui had already lost track of how many times he had swung his blade. It seemed he had been thoroughly defeated in taijutsu. A wave of despondency rose in his heart. Being surpassed by a clansman six years younger than himself did not feel good at all.
Shisui quickly pulled away from Hane and formed hand seals at rapid speed.
"Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"
"Water Release: Twin Water Dragon Technique!"
"Combination Ninjutsu: Twin Flood Dragons Playing with the Pearl!"
In an instant, a massive fireball came rushing toward Hane, followed by two intertwined water Dragons.
The scorching heat and rapidly spreading mist effectively obscured Hane's vision.
Hane smiled faintly at the sight. Taking a deep breath, he gently exhaled toward the enormous fireball ahead.
"Samadhi Divine Wind!"
A fierce gale instantly surged forth, like countless sickle weasels, blowing toward the fireball. The condensed fireball was immediately extinguished and scattered apart, while the gale continued without weakening. Only after it blew the two vicious water Dragons into the sky did it finally dissipate.
The entire battlefield fell silent. The trees in the forest were blown askew, and a light drizzle began to fall from Kong.
Shisui stared blankly at the longsword pressed against his throat. For a moment, he did not know what to do, and shock filled his eyes.
"When did you..." Shisui looked at Hane in disbelief.
He had clearly used a Shadow Clone to replace his true body while the mist was spreading, so why had Hane seen at a glance that his real body was hiding here?
"Big Brother Shisui, do you still want to continue?" Hane asked with a faint smile.
Shisui let out a defeated sigh and lowered his head slightly. "Hane, it seems you have already surpassed me!"
"Then what is Big Brother Shisui's decision?" Hane continued.
Shisui raised his head and looked at Hane, his expression becoming incomparably solemn. "Hane, I hope you can lead me to see the light!"
Hane tilted his head and smiled slightly, withdrawing the longsword from Shisui's throat. "Welcome, Big Brother Shisui." Hane extended a small hand toward him.
Shisui hesitated for a moment before tightly grasping Hane's hand.
